We are making the history of thermistors by accumulating assured technologies and achievements.
We were originally Nippon Contact Point and were established for manufacturing high-performance electric contacts for aircraft on August 13, 1939, and then changed the name to Ohizumi Aircraft Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., on March 25, 1944.
After WW II, we changed our name to the present name, Ohizumi Mfg. Co., Ltd., in October 1945, started manufacturing electric contacts for civilian use, started research and development by receiving trial production requests for thermistors from the Research Institute of Telecommunication of the Ministry of Telecommunication in February 1952, and started manufacturing thermistors for telephone switchboards in January 1955. Since then, we have worked on the development of various types of temperature sensors based on the accumulation of technologies of semiconducting ceramic, metal, plastic, and glass, and have been making efforts to supply high-quality products for over 50 years.
